About

John Olden has represented clients in immigration-related matters since 1992. Before that he spent five years in the business department of the law firm of Cooley Godward. He received his law degree from the National University of Ireland (University College Dublin) in 1981 and is qualified to practice law in California, Ireland and federal immigration law throughout the United States.

John recognizes the importance of immigrants historically to the United States and thus values the cultural and other contributions made by those who are foreign born toward the evolution of a vibrant, tolerant and dignified society. He strongly supports comprehensive immigration reform and a just and sensible immigration policy. Among other things, he would like to see the repeal of unfair laws, better government agency processing times, more available visas for foreign workers, the elimination of visa backlogs and appropriate relief for the undocumented.

He lives in San Francisco with his wife and two children. While not practicing immigration law, he coaches youth soccer, enjoys hiking with his family, reading and playing guitar.
